This session aims to complement the lessons learned during previous seminars, focusing on how to properly and effectively communicate research results.

The objectives of this training are that participants:

– Understand the different elements that play in communication and how to manage them actively (speaker, listener, message, channel, noise). Reflect together on what are the key elements for effective communication.

– Learn the basics of storytelling techniques as the grounds onto which one builds particular communication mechanisms, and get experience by working some use cases.

– Deepen up in the educational power of communication.

– Experiment with new communication possibilities also useful for science (podcasts, blogs, memes, masterclasses…).

This training, which is addressed to any researcher or technician, will take place on Thursday 24th of November, at the Events Hall located in the ESCI (floor -4).

The last session of this series will provide researchers with a series of writing tips and practices that may contribute to their success in their future proposals for international projects.

The objectives of this training are that participants:

  •  Learn fundamental concepts and methodologies from “storytelling” and explore their possible application when preparing documentation for an R&D project.
  •  Learn and practice about the different proposal writing styles: The basics of “Persuasive writing” and the balance between scientific and journalistic language.
  •  Get to know the various stylistic instruments that can help to increase the readability of our proposals, as well as their importance during the evaluation processes within competitive calls.

This training, which is addressed to any researcher or technician, will take place on Friday 25th of November, at the Events Hall located in the ESCI (floor -4).

13 OCT - Training on Strategic Technology Watch/

Con data 13 de outubro de 2022, tivo lugar no salón de actos do ESCI unha formación sobre “Vixilancia Tecnolóxica Estratéxica”, dirixida aos investigadores, técnicos e estudantes da UDC.

A sesión foi impartida por Eva García Muntión, directora de RTDI innovation school e coordinadora de varios proxectos europeos. Eva profundizou nos procesos fundamentais da vixilancia tecnolóxica e deu a coñecer algunhas das ferramentas que poden ser empregadas nestes procesos.

29 SEP - Preparación propostas exitosas EIC Pathfinder/

O pasado 29 de setembro de 2022, o salón de actos do Edificio de Servicios Centrais de Investigación acolleu unha nova sesión de formación, desta vez orientada á preparación de propostas para a convocatoria europea “EIC Pathfinder”.

A formación foi impartida por Javier Medina, da consultora QiEurope, quen incidiu na importancia de pensar máis aló da compoñente científica como factor de éxito para a consecución de financiación.

15-16 XUÑ - Preparación de propostas I+D+i en Horizonte Europa/

Os días 15 e 16 de xuño de 2022 tivo lugar no ESCI da UDC un ciclo formativo dirixido aos membros da comunidade universitaria involucrados en convocatorias do Programa Marco de investigación Horizonte Europa.

A formación, de carácter eminentemente práctico, foi impartida por Javier Medina (QiEurope). A xornada centrouse nas diferencias do programa Horizonte Europa respecto do anterior programa H2020, realizando posteriormente un percorrido pola estrutura das memorias no que se indicaron diversas recomendacións para a escritura de propostas competitivas.
